Open Arms Pound Rescue provides transportation coordination for shelter and pound dogs moving from Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and Michigan to screened and approved rescues in the United States and Canada.

The coordination of the transports often includes up to twenty dogs traveling long distance to safety.  Over the past eighteen months hundreds of dogs have been saved from certain death and found sanctuary with reputable rescues. The rescues provide the dogs with veterinary care, including spay or neuter, and place them in approved homes.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Open Arms Pound Rescue is looking for volunteers to help drive dogs to safety.  Transports are organized into multiple legs of 50-80 miles each.  We especially need drivers who can provide transportation along I-75 from Kentucky to Canada. Please contact us by email if you can help!

Donations for gasoline are also welcome.
